2. What is Counselling?
Counselling is a forum for you to talk confidentially with an experienced practitioner about whatever is on your mind.
Counselling is a professional activity that utilises an interpersonal relationship to enable people to develop self understanding and to make changes in their lives. Professional counsellors work within a clearly contracted, principled relationship that enables individuals to obtain assistance in exploring and resolving issues of an interpersonal, intrapsychic, or personal nature through use of a range of therapeutic interventions.
At Healios we take a humanistic approach and favour Rogerian person-centered counselling, with influences from psychosynthesis.
3. What is a Personalised Integrative Session?
This is a lovely option when you would like to focus on a particular goal and are not quite sure what approach would be of the most help. We take time to clearly identify your goal, then formulate a programme to help you develop the resources and capacity to achieve your intention. This may include counselling sessions, body therapy, body-mind integration work or may be varied, drawing on a range of skills and techniques that best support you. We decide the timing and approach together, with continual review to ensure you are receiving the best possible value to help you create the change you desire.
About the sessions...
1. Do you help with goal setting?
Yes, sometimes you know you need something, without being sure exactly what it is. We spend time in your first session ensuring we are both clear on what your focus is for your session.
2. How much is a session?
Please contact me by email or phone to discuss your needs and I will be able to confirm pricing for you.
3. How long is a session?
The length of your session will depend upon your specific needs. Your first session is generally a little longer so we have time to take a health history and define your goal/s. After that, session lengths range from 45 minutes to 90 minutes.
